Dragons RFC is pleased to announce that seven talented youngsters have signed their first Academy contracts with the club.

Wales Under-20s duo Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths (prop) and Sam Scarfe (hooker) – who both featured throughout the recent Under-20s Six Nations campaign – have both agreed terms with the Men of Gwent.

The impressive front row pair – who have played for Pontypool RFC this season in the WRU National Championship – take their place in the Senior Academy set-up.

Dragons have also signed a trio of talented youngsters who represented Wales in the Six Nations Under-18s Festival earlier this year.

Nick Thomas (lock), Evan Minto (back row) and Harry Rees-Weldon (wing) all put pen to paper on Academy deals.

Finally, hooker Tomoya Nieuwendijk-Adachi and full back/wing Huw Anderson are also contracted to the Academy after continued eye-catching development with Dragons Under-18s this season.

Dai Flanagan, Head Coach at Dragons RFC, said: “Congratulations to the seven young players who have signed first Academy contracts with us.

“It’s always exciting to see homegrown talent coming through our system and we now look forward to watching these seven young men continue to develop as key parts of our Academy set-up.”
